A field of 92 cars entered this annual special event and featured top drivers with a selection of multiple Irish & Northern Irish Autotest Champions and an welcome return of an Ex. British Rally Cross Champion Dermot Carnegie in his MK1 Ford Escort. Ashley Lamont using his MED powered 1460cc engine won his class and finished 3rd overall.read full story » -

Winner - Ballynahinch Lanes Rally

Will Corry and Pete Moore were first overall in the Ballynahinch Rally, a staggering 54 seconds ahead of the second place modern machinery of Robert Woodside and Dean Beckett in their Mazda MX5. They were also fastest on 19 of the 23 special tests. The MED engine is proving to be ever dominant! Ashley Lamont enjoyed further recent success as the overall winner at the MG Car Clubs (Ulster Centre) annual Autosolo event. Driving his MED powered MG Midget, Ashley Lamont set the pace for the event closely followed by Will Corry a fellow MG Midget competitor & MED customer. Winner - HealeySport Sprint & Hill Climb Challenge 2011

In the two timed runs Tom Walker turned up the tempo lowering the hill record to a stunning 48.80 seconds in his MED powered Frogeye - almost 2 seconds faster than the previous record and 1.5 seconds faster than the nearest competitor!! The result of this event confirmed Tom Walker as the class winner in the Sprite class for 2011.
