Another bespoke race engine project here at MED to be fitted into this beautiful A series powered 1961 Lynx Formula Junior for one of our regular customers.

Lynx engineering in Australia began manufacturing Formula Junior racing cars back in 1961 having acquired the patterns and jigs for the early Ralt cars from Ron Tauranac when he moved to England to work withJack Brabham. Lynx built approximately 20 cars during 1961 and 1962.

Fitted with an 1100cc BMC engine, VW gearbox, drum brakes and 15” wheels, this is a very rare and highly desirable entry to the ever popular and competitive Formula Junior grids around the globe. With MED providing the heart of the car its going to be an exciting season with this prestigious race car!

Keep in touch for further news and updates on the build.
