Our most popular flywheel option, CNC machined from EN8 steel billet. The clutch face has been specially machined to accept either an AP Racing Clutch, MED Turbo Clutch or our narrow-section Racing Paddle Clutch. It can be supplied with either pre-engaged or inertia ring gear, which is TIG welded in six positions after fitting. Complete with three spacers for drive straps.

  • Recommended for high performance road and competition engines
  • Weighs 3.65kg - a considerable saving over the stock item
  • Ring gear options allow you to use this earlier pre-Verto system with a later pre-engaged starter motor

These are available separately, but we'd also recommend purchasing an MED Ultra Light Steel Backplate, or ideally as a balanced clutch and flywheel kit.

Moving up in the range from our pre-Verto Ultra Light Steel flywheel, we offer an EN24T Ultralite Steel Flywheel. EN24T is used by high-end racing teams, offering greater tensile strength than our EN8 flywheel.

The Ultra Light flywheel is perfectly capable of handling competition usage alongside a suitable clutch plate, however, the additional strength of EN24T allows for extra weight saving. 

Saving yet more weight is the MED X-Lite Flywheel, which features larger cut-outs and an integral ring gear for the starter motor.
