1 - Estimates, Prices and Payments
1 A - An estimate is a considered approximation of the likely cost involved and is valid for 10 days from its dispatch by the Company to the Customer.
1 B - Prices of Goods are those current at the time of the estimate and the Company reserves the right to change such prices between preparing the estimate and obtaining the Goods.
1 C - Unless otherwise agreed in writing, if it appears during progress of any Work that the estimate will be exceeded by a significant amount the Company will not continue the Work without further permission from the Customer.
1 D - All prices include VAT @17.5% unless otherwise stated.
1 E - The customer may prefer to pay via cheque. Please make cheques payable to MED ENGINEERING Please also send us a covering letter detailing your specific order, guaranteed amount, cheque guarantee card number, expiry date, contact details and delivery address.
1 F - Most major credit/debit cards are acceptable i.e. VISA, MasterCard, Delta and Switch/Solo.
1 G - All deposits taken by MED ENGINEERING from the customer for work to be carried out or products being sold are strictly non refundable.
1 H - All goods supplied or dispatched will remain the property of MED ENGINEERING until full payment is made to the company.

 

3 - Delivery/ Shipping
3 A - MED ENGINEERING will aim to dispatch products to destinations inside the UK within 3 working days in most circumstances they are delivered next day from payment. In certain circumstances beyond MED ENGINEERING control the delivery time may vary, so please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.
3 B - MED ENGINEERING Courier service delivers between 9am and 5.00pm on weekdays, and will require a signature to release the shipment, so please specify an address where someone will be able to sign for your order between these hours. We will not take responsibility for orders delayed or additional redelivery charges incurred due to no-one being available to accept a delivery.
3 C - MED ENGINEERING will make every effort to deliver within the times stated but will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the products are not delivered within the delivery times which are here quoted, please contact MED ENGINEERING and they will try and ensure that you receive your order, as quickly as possible.
3 D - Saturday delivery service is available but only upon special request, MED ENGINEERING will need to be informed via telephone if this service is required where the appropriate quote will be given.

 

4 - International Delivery/ Shipping
4 A - MED ENGINEERING delivers to most worldwide destinations, delivery time will not be guaranteed with international shipping due to customs and clearance, with using FEDERAL EXPRESS most shipments will be delivered in 5-7 days.
4 B - You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.
4 C - Additionally, when ordering from MED ENGINEERING the customer must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are received.

 

5 - Uncompleted Works
5 A - If for any reason Work requested by the Customer is not carried out in full MED ENGINEERING will charge reasonable amount for any Work actually done and the then current price of any goods supplied or fitted.

 

6 - Time
6 A - MED ENGINEERING will use its best efforts to do Work or supply Goods within any time period notified to the Company will not be liable for delays.

 

7 - Completion of Work
7 A - Work shall be deemed complete when the Customer is so advised by the Company. The Customer will pay the Company for all Work done and Goods supplied before any vehicle may be removed from the Company's premises.
7 B - The customer's vehicle must be collected when advised by MED ENGINEERING, a date and time will be arranged once all work is completed. Failure to do so may incur additional charges.

 

8 - Replaced Parts
8 A - All parts replaced during any Work done, except those to be returned under warranty or service exchange arrangements, will be retained by the Company until the vehicle is collected. If the Customer does not specifically ask to have such replaced parts when collecting the vehicle, then they will become the property of the Company to dispose of.

 

9 - Returned Goods
9 A - Goods will be accepted back for credit provided that the Customer returns the Goods (in the same condition as when supplied) within 5 working days of delivery, the original invoice is produced, the Customer pays the Company's current handling charges for returned Goods and the Goods were not specially ordered by the Customer.

 

10 - Loss, Damage and inconvenience
10 A - MED ENGINEERING is only responsible for loss of or damage to any vehicle or its accessories or contents caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees.
10 B - MED ENGINEERING will not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused if any work under taken at the request of the customer is not completed in the specified time given.

 

11 – SURCHARGES / EXCHANGE
11 A – MED ENGINEERING applies a strict surcharge policy to all surchargable products i.e bult engines, engine kits, cylinder heads and crankshafts. 11 B - On the dispatch or collection of goods MED ENGINEERING will charge the applicable surcharge amount to the customer. This amount will be reimbursed in full once the servicable exchange part/parts are returned to MED ENGINEERING and have been inspected and found to be in MED’s servicable condition.

NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS CONTRACT SHALL AFFECT THE STATUTORY RIGHTS OF A CONSUMER
