The Motorsport News Saloon Car Championship is South Eastern Centre's main competition and has been run in different formats and under various titles since the 1980s. Bill Richards managed to win his class using various MED race engine component's along with our unique 4 speed dog engagement gearbox.

Another bespoke race engine project here at MED to be fitted into this beautiful A series powered 1961 Lynx Formula Junior for one of our regular customers.

Last weekend marked the inaugural A series all comers race at Donington with the HRDC. Will Corry was out in his MED powered Sebring Sprite, the track was incredibly slippery with heavy rain all day long.

It was an eventful season for Rick Jason de Guzman, the scene was set early this year with 10 races throughout the Philippine's. Rick's Mini proved to be the one to beat securing many wins along the way. The final round was held at the famous Clark International Speedway where Rick and the team managed to secure this years championship.

Racing in the Lackford Engineering MG Midget and Sprite Challenge, Richard Perry in the last two rounds of the year at Snetterton leapfrogged from 3rd position in the overall championship to 1st place with a 1 point lead.

A busy season was set early for WG British Racing. Laurent Majou was to compete in 2 historic championships and a further saloon car class all around France.
