Description

CNC machined from billet aluminium, the large-bore thermostat housing is based on the original Austin Metro design, with a 32mm outlet and 8mm take-off.

We have changed the stud pattern from the Metro version, so the outlet points towards the inner wing rather than straight ahead, as this is more practical on competition Minis with an MED front-mounted radiator. Being 32mm, this will also suit many popular front-mounted radiator conversions.

The take-off tube is ideal to connect up to an MED Coolant Header Tank. We keep a range of 32mm silicone hoses to suit.

You might also wish to purchase an MED Thermostat Stud Kit, which makes an attractive upgrade.

Please note, if you plan to use this as a standard replacement for a Metro, the stud holes will need to be enlarged.
