What's the benefit of running a Goodridge braided clutch line on a Mini?

The standard flexible hydraulic clutch hose can expand under pressure, especially when combined with a competition clutch system, giving a spongy pedal feel. We always install Goodridge lines throughout the car to improve pedal feel and longevity.

How are these made?

This competition clutch line has a PTFE inner core for longevity, stainless steel over-braid to eliminate expansion under pressure, and a clear outer covering as an extra protective layer. Fittings are machined from durable stainless steel, and each line is professionally assembled by the world-leading experts at Goodridge in the UK.

Which cars will this fit?

Any right-hand-drive classic Mini with a pre-Verto clutch system, which was fitted from 1959 until around 1980. A large proportion of later competition Minis have also been retrofitted with pre-Verto clutches too.

Can you make me a custom clutch line?

Sorry, no, but we do keep a good range of Goodridge braided stainless steel lines to suit all classic Minis.

What's the difference between this and the long version?

Aside from the obvious difference in length, this hose is designed to fit between the standard bulkhead bracket and slave cylinder, whereas the long version bypasses the original rigid clutch line and bulkhead bracket, joining the master cylinder directly to the slave cylinder.
