Description
Exclusive to MED, our CV castellated nut is machined from heat treated EN24T steel with extra attention to the split pin slots, where we have machined a radius to reduce fatigue cracks.
We have further improved the design by including an in-built washer to the clamping face to give a larger clamping area. The nut is then heat treated further for extra tensile strength.
We have chosen a larger 34mm size to further increase the strength over the standard nut.
You may also wish to use one of our uprated hub nut split washers.

How do these compare to a standard Mini hub nut?
These are made to a much higher standard, CNC machined from a high grade of steel, and with several small yet important detail changes for improved strength. They're a good upgrade for fast road usage and a must-have if you're racing.
What's the recommended torque setting?
This is dictated more by the CV joint than the nut. For use with our 1275 disc CV joints, torque to 193 lb.ft and tighten to the next available split pin hole.
Do I need a specific socket?
We've chosen a metric size, 34mm, to give the maximum contact with the socket.
How many will I need?
These are supplied individually, so you will need two per car.
