Description

The MED aluminium back plate is CNC machined to suit inline (Sprite/Midget etc) applications and weighs just 1.42kg.

This is for the gearbox end of the engine only.

We also now make an oil pump cover to suit the inline engine, available at: Midget oil pump cover.

This is designed for the Austin Healey Sprite and MG MIdget.

Which side of the engine does it fit?

The plate mounts to the rear of the engine, between the engine block and the transmission housing.

What's the performance advantage of this part?

it's considerably lighter than the standard plate, saving around 2kg. It's also brand new, compared to the often-rusty originals, which can be 50-plus years old, giving a much better oil seal. Plus it looks fantastic!
