These are our competition drive straps as used on all pre-Verto flywheel assemblies, from fast road to full race.

They are laser cut from spring steel and sold in sets of nine.

Where do these fit?

The clutch drive straps suit a classic Mini flywheel assembly, pre-Verto design. These connect the flywheel to the backplate and clutch cover.

How many drivestraps do I need?

We use nine, so three on each post, when assembling our range of performance pre-Verto clutch kits. Some engine builders prefer to use six on more standard assemblies - but be careful as the overall stack height of drive straps and spacers can also affect the clutch holding torque.

Are these stronger than standard?

These are made to the same dimensions as standard, part number 2A3658, in a high quality spring steel. Be wary of budget versions on the market, as we have seen these deform in use when not made from the correct steel. MED drive straps are made exclusively for us, as used in all flywheel kits.
