Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a Hardy Spicer and pot joint seal?
They're different diameters. The Hardy Spicer type oil seal measures 2.000" outside diameter to suit a 1.359" output shaft, while the pot joint is 1.875" OD, 1.250" ID.
Do these suit all classic Mini output shaft covers?
Yes. Note that MED billet alloy output shaft covers use the later pot joint size, and that our range of output shafts all use this size too. It's only the original Cooper S output shaft covers that suit the Hardy Spicer type seals.
