This has a special molybdenum coating. This durable, dry-film lubricant provides low friction, high load capacity, and wear resistance, so it is longer lasting than the standard pin.

Would you recommend it for a modified Mini?

This depends how hard you are likely to drive. There is a limitation to the strength of a single diff pin, regardless of the coating and material specification, so if you plan to drive the car hard and spin up the front wheels, look instead towards the X-pin differential, which is much stronger. This pin is ideal if you are rebuilding a car for sensible everyday driving and are on a tighter budget.
