MED HARDY SPICER ADAPTERS
Description
The MED output adapters convert standard pot joint differentials and the Quaife ATB or MED Helical ATB to Hardy Spicer fitment.
This allows you to use a pot joint type differential with Hardy Spicer Couplings and MED 300M Driveshafts for the ultimate competition setup.
Sold in pairs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Hardy Spicer adapters for?
These allow the fitment of Hardy Spicer style coupling joints and driveshafts to a classic Mini pot joint output shaft. These are particularly popular for competition Minis fitted with a X-pin or helical gear ATB differential. The hardy Spicer couplings allow for faster engine/gearbox changes, so are often favoured by Mini racers.
How do they fit?
We often refer to these as 'knock-on adapters', as they simply press into place on the pot joint output shafts, and the spring clips click into place on the internal splines.
Which output shaft covers do I need?
These adapters have a 1.250" outside diameter on the shafts, so you will need to use the readily available pot joint output shaft covers or a set of MED billet competition covers, part number MED-3707-OSC. They do not suit the 1960s Cooper S output shaft covers, as these are quite rare in good condition now, so we've moved everything to the later 1.250" design.
What are these machined from?
We use a specialist grade of heat treated steel, which is well suited to high-stress driveline components, with excellent wear resistance. They are then surface treated for corrosion resistance on the external sections.
