CNC machined from high grade titanium for use with standard stem size valves.

These give a far more consistent spring pressure across the valves than with the standard types.

Not only are these caps more durable than steel, they weigh just 11 grams each, compared to 18 grams of the MED 9/32 Steel Valve Caps.

Which engines do these valve caps fit?

BMC A-Series and A+, as fitted to the classic Mini, Sprite and many other British classic cars. They will not suit other engines.

Would you recommend a specific valve spring set?

Yes, we keep two different types of double valve spring sets, road and race, to suit the camshaft and RPM power band of choice. For road springs, see MED-2900-VS and for race, MED-2901-RVS.

How much do these caps weigh?

Approximately 11g, compared to 18g of the steel alternative.

Will they suit all A-Series engine valves?

Only those designed for a single-groove collet. Triple groove collets tend to have a different taper angle.

What is the benefit of these caps over the standard items?

Increased strength and consistency, so you can maintain a much more accurate fitted length of the valve springs. On a performance engine, it's vital to get the valvetrain as accurately set as possible. We would recommend these for all race heads, or fast road heads using single-groove competition valves and steel collets.
