ROD CHANGE SELECTOR FORK
Description
Gearbox selector forks can take a lot of abuse, and are always worth checking as part of a transmission rebuild.
These particular forks suit the later rod change gearboxes and are available to suit 1st/2nd gear and 3rd/4th.
These are made from high quality brass for excellent longevity, as per the original forks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which gearboxes do these suit?
All rod change classic Mini gearboxes, from the early 1970s to 2000. They do not suit the earlier remote change gearboxes.
Do they often need to be replaced?
Increasingly as Minis age, yes, as the originals are susceptible to wear. The forks tend to splay outwards where the synchro hub runs inside. They do not often wear on the shaft, but this is also worth checking, and again, replace as necessary.
Can I fit these in my remote change gearbox?
No it's a completely different design for the early gearboxes. We do not keep these unfortunately.
What's the original Rover part number?
The 1st/2nd gear fork was listed as TSP100390 and 3rd/4th gear was TSP100390.
